MILSPRAY® Leadership Team Members Will Attend JEADDC In Germany

MILSPRAY’s President, Liz Shivers, and Program Manager, Sheron Schley, will be attending the Joint EUCOM/AFRICOM Deployment and Distribution Conference (JEADDC) in Stuttgart, Germany, May 21st through May 23rd.

This year’s JEADDC is focused on increasing and improving both relationships and information flow across the European distribution enterprise. Spanning both continents across all stakeholders in hopes of a better understanding of stakeholder operation models, defining shared deployment and distribution opportunities, and to collaboratively seek improved collaboration between DoD, industry and interagency.

Liz Shivers, President

Liz Shivers is the President of MILSPRAY®. Joining MILSPRAY® in 2007, Shivers has held positions of increasing responsibility within the company. She has extensive experience in government contracting, management and the implementation of strategic objectives for the company. Shivers earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Finance from Canyon College and a Master Certificate in Government Contract Management from Villanova University.

In here previous role as Chief Operating Officer, Shivers oversaw the day-to-day operating activities of the company with responsibility for the coordination, execution and optimization of internal operations and resources to fulfill the company’s long-term and annual operating plan commitments. She was responsible for focusing on the maintenance of customer satisfaction, project portfolio performance, the effective allocation of resources across the organization and overall operational performance.

In her role as CFO and SVP of Operations at MILSPRAY®, Shivers was responsible for the synergy of efforts in the formulation and execution of MILSPRAY’s global strategy. All while overseeing a broad portfolio of services and capabilities for all branches of the U.S. military and various national agencies. These mission critical projects included the management of the company’s mobile corrosion teams in support of the US Marine Corps Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPAC) Program domestically and internationally in Japan, Africa, Romania, Italy and Spain. Under her leadership, MILSPRAY’s operational teams demonstrated exceptional performance within the US Marine Corps CPAC Program, which assisted the company in winning its first multi-year contract with the US Army in 2012 to provide mobile corrosion control services to the US Army National Training Center, Fort Irwin, CA.

Shivers continues to support the management of the company’s diverse portfolio of technologies and resources including the execution of the global operational strategy to include our recent expansion into Guam for the restoration of Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) for Andersen Air Force Base; as well as the increase in operational capacity at our regional facility in Lakewood, NJ, to support customers on a global scale.

Sheron Schley, Program Manager

Sheron Schley has almost a decade of leadership experience in management, accountability, tactics, and mentoring in both garrison and combat military situations. Mr. Schley is a Subject Matter Expert in Ballistics and Small Unit Tactics.

Since joining MILSPRAY’s Research and Development division in 2014, he has played a vital role in the development of both energy-dissipative and energy-absorbing Optically Clear Ballistic Resistant Polymer Systems and for the product line expansion and production of the Ballistic Resistant System (BRS™) for police vehicles.

Mr. Schley’s previous experience includes serving in the 82nd Airborne Division, 3rd Brigade, 1st Battalion as a Light Infantry Scout Recon and Sniper Section Leader. He has graduated from numerous military courses including Ranger School, Sniper School, and the Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leaders Course and is a service-connected disabled combat veteran of the U.S. Army.

MILSPRAY® is pleased to announce the successful completion of year one of our base period in Mannheim, Germany and Dülmen, Germany.

MILSPRAY® was honored to provide our Corrosion Prevention, Control & Repair Services to the United States Army. Over the duration of the year, MILSPRAY® successfully restored 1,073 assets, which exceeded the requirements of the contract. This upcoming year, MILSPRAY® looks forward to servicing military assets again for the United States Army in Germany, and will aim to exceed the remarkable standard that has already been set.

Three Days Away From The Allied Nations Technical Corrosion Conference

We are only three days away from the Allied Nations Technical Corrosion Conference. The event will be taking place at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex in Birmingham, Alabama from August 7th through August 10th.

The DoD – Allied Nations Technical Corrosion Conference is a critical event that fosters an efficient and effective collaborative environment to not only better understand the impact of corrosion on DoD equipment and infrastructure, but also jointly work toward practical prevention and control solutions.  This effort brings together a diverse spectrum of technical expertise and knowledge representing government, industry, academia, and international corrosion partners.  Participants represent essentially every field related to corrosion prevention and control, including basic and applied research; maintenance and sustainment; research and development; practitioners and manufacturers; and the DoD acquisition workforce.  Through a series of technical programs and events, the conference proceedings are designed to stimulate collaboration and promote information sharing opportunities.  Participants also have the opportunity to interact with respected leaders and recognized subject matter experts across the corrosion community worldwide.

PATRICK J. MURPHY BECOMES AUSA SENIOR FELLOW

Under Secretary of the Army Patrick J. Murphy's farewell ceremony Jan. 17, 2017.

Today for #FeatureFriday, we congratulate former Undersecretary of the Army Patrick J. Murphy on joining the Association of the U.S. Army as a senior fellow with the Institute of Land Warfare.

The 43-year-old is a third-generation veteran who deployed to Bosnia in 2002 and to Iraq in 2003 as part of the 82nd Airborne Division. Murphy was also a U.S. Military Academy constitutional law professor. He served for five months in 2016 as acting secretary of the Army.

“I’m proud to join my fellow soldiers for life to ensure our nation is doing all it can to keep our families safe here at home,” Murphy said. “It is critical during these defining moments that our troops have the technical and tactical advantage over our enemies.”
