On this edition of #TechTuesday, we want to bring your attention to the Anniston Army Depot in Calhoun County, AL. Where the Anniston Army Depot and General Dynamics will be producing military vehicles that will take place over the next two years and help bring safety to the men and women who serve our country. Ninety-Three (93) Strykers will have new “Double V Hull” technology, that could very well be described as “life-saving” and will be produced at the Anniston Army Depot. Another important aspect of the updated Strykers is their ability to be rebuilt at a cost of 60% compared to building a new vehicle.

Tech Tuesday News: Who wants to build a Space Fence?

On this #TechTuesday we found that General Dynamics (GD) is to develop ground structures for USAF Space Fence programme.

Lockheed Martin had awarded a contract to (GD) C4 Systems SATCOM Technologies to design and build the ground structures for the US Air Force’s Space Fence program.

This contract is part of a $915m deal that was awarded by the U.S. Air Force to Lockheed earlier this past June. This Space Fence will be a multistatic radar system made to increase the service’s abilities of not only identifying but also, tracking space debris.
