In support of this commitment, Rand Drozdowicz will transition to the full-time role of Safety and Security Manager for MILSPRAY™ effective immediately reporting to Brian Feser.

Rand has more than 8 years of experience in various positions from manufacturing, safety and business development within the company. In his previous position as a Special Project Manager, he was instrumental in providing logistical support to the US Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) for the maintenance of the MILSPRAY™ Above Ground and Expeditionary Vehicle Wash Systems located nationally and internationally.

He has traveled extensively throughout the world deploying our Scorpion Energy Hunter™ and the Vehicle Wash Systems in support of the US Marine Corps (USMC) African Lion in Agadir, Morocco; Dakar, Senegal; and Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Additionally, he was part of the team that traveled to Andersen Air Force Base in Guam to set-up the first Vehicle Wash System purchased by the US Air Force.

In 2013, he was awarded a patent (#8,496,015) for the co-invention of the company’s first Expeditionary Vehicle Wash System (EVWS) designed and manufactured in 2008. Rand holds numerous certificates from the Occupational Health & Safety Administration (OSHA), the Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE) and the National Asbestos & Environmental Training Institute (NAETI)/Environment Protection Agency (EPA) as a Model Lead Paint Supervisor/Contractor of Housing and Public Buildings to mention a few.

As Safety and Security Manager, Rand Drozdowicz will continue his efforts in leading key initiatives to improve our safety and security performance as outlined by federal and state laws and regulations. Feature Friday: Thomas Brown, Research and Development (R&D) Mechanical Engineer

Tom’s key responsibilities will be in the material characterization of several polymer composites being developed by the R&D Team as well as assuming a lead role in the development of MILSPRAY’s emerging retail product lines.

Tom’s background brings a unique perspective to MILSPRAY’s development team with his combined background in Engineering as well as several years serving as an Associate within the retail sector. He has achieved several college degrees that include a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.A. in Mathematics, both from Rutgers University, as well as an A.S. in Engineering and an A.A. in Business Administration from Brookdale College.

His background includes research studies in the degradation of proton exchange membranes in hydrogen based fuel cells, computational validation methods for nonlinear analysis, and numerical modeling of alternative fuel vehicle performance. On a professional level, Tom has served as an Associate, working directly with consumers, architects, and engineers, as well as holding supervisory positions, and serving as a mentor for emerging students of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) disciplines . This, combined with his educational background, is a welcome addition for expanding the capabilities of our Research and Development Department and further advancing our technologies to support the growth of MILSPRAY™.

MILSPRAY™ Welcomes Mike Lepore – Appointed to Position of Senior Director of Finance

MILSPRAY Military Technologies™ (Lakewood, NJ, announced that Mike Lepore has been named Senior Director of Finance. Lepore will replace Liz Shivers, who was appointed to Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, Lepore will lead the company’s accounting, financial planning and analysis, government accounting and compliance.

Lepore has twenty-five years of leadership experience in auditing, accounting, and compliance within both government and private industries. Prior to joining MILSPRAY™, he spent the last seven years at a mid-sized government defense contractor holding various financial and compliance positions of increasing responsibility. He successfully led the company through numerous financial and governmental audits, including major business systems. His efforts helped the company achieve and maintain an approved accounting system.

Lepore received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, NJ, and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is an active member in both the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and the American Institute of CPAs.

MILSPRAY™ Names Sirena Moore-Thomas to Lead Global Sales Organization

MILSPRAY™ has named Sirena Moore-Thomas as the Vice President of Sales and New Business effective September 14, 2015.

In this role, Sirena will be responsible for developing and implementing new sales strategies to generate revenue. She will lead the sales organization to include Jeff Callahan, Senior Director of Sales, Chad Vroman, Director of Sales, and Christina Jobes, Customer Service and Inside Sales Support.

“Sirena is an experienced leader with demonstrated excellence in delivering results, as well as creating and executing strategic plans”, said MILSPRAY™ President and CEO, Brian Feser. “I’m confident that Sirena’s commitment to exceeding our customers’ expectations and her leadership in capturing new business opportunities will help position us for growth in our core markets while developing new business.”

Sirena brings her entrepreneurial fervor as the former co-founder and CEO of a multi-million dollar contract cleaning company with customers that included the federal government and Comcast to name a few. Prior to joining MILSPRAY™, she served as the Chief Operating Officer of Eagle Enterprises, a distributor of Boeing Aircraft Parts headquartered in Hampton, VA. In this role she was responsible for the day to day operations and revenue generating activity. Additionally, she was instrumental in delivering double digit growth and establishing a northeast presence in Pennsylvania for the company.

Moore-Thomas has appeared in numerous publications and received several awards for her leadership, public speaking and philanthropy. Sirena’s accomplishments coupled with her infectious energy and ambition quickly caught the eye of National media including New York Times, Black Enterprise Magazine, Essence Magazine, NBC Nightly News, Upscale Magazine, Black Entertainment Television and many others.

Tidbit Thursday: MILSPRAY Military Technologies™ Announces Promotion of Matthew Johnston to Senior Director of R&D

MILSPRAY™ President and CEO, Brian Feser, announced the promotion of Matthew Johnston to Senior Director of Research & Development effective immediately. Johnston joined MILSPRAY™ in 2010, and has over a decade of specialty polymer development for US Military and commercial applications. He is a Subject Matter Expert in Chemical Agent Resistant Coatings (CARC) and waterborne CARC coatings development.

During his career at MILSPRAY™, he has served as the Principal Investigator (PI) for the development of the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) Contract W911NF-09-02-0001 Multi-functional Stealth Coatings; PI for MILSPRAY’s new Ballistic Resistant System™ (BRS™) for police vehicles; PI for the development of energy-dissipative ballistic mitigation polymer systems; and PI for the development of optically clear energy-deflective ballistic polymer systems. Johnston has authored four (4) patents for MILSPRAY’s Spot Shot™ touch-up paint systems as well as patents for developing a new category of touch-up paint application systems. Johnston has thirteen (13) joint patent applications pending.

Prior to joining MILSPRAY™, Johnston held several positions with PPG Industries headquartered in Pittsburg, PA. He served as the Principal Investigator for the development of a multi-stage cured Radar Absorbing Material (RAM) for stealth aircrafts; development of direct-to-metal locomotive coatings; development of waterborne Chemical Agent Resistant Coatings (CARC), and formulations of urethane and epoxy coatings. Prior to his time at PPG Industries, he served as an Assistant Scientist performing Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) chemical characterization of World Trade Center dust and debris following the 9/11 World Trade Center disaster which is now known as World Trade Center Dust.

Johnston successfully leads a team of highly skilled and motivated Engineers, Physicists and Chemists. He is a strong supporter of MILSPRAY’s Emerging Leaders Internship Program combined with a strong advocacy for promoting exciting careers in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) disciplines. He has been an integral part of developing the next generation of future women leaders in STEM, and is mentoring two female Chemistry and Engineering students, whom he hired as summer interns.
