Cost of Corrosion

Corrosion, rust, oxidation, rot….it affects us all, whether it is on our vehicles, boats, fences or homes, it’s unavoidable. According to a 2016 report from the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) the global cost of corrosion exceeds a staggering $2.7T USD! These direct and indirect costs go far beyond the personal items listed above affecting almost every industry.

With such shocking numbers one wonders, what can be done to slow the corrosion process? The best way to mitigate and slow rust and corrosion is by creating and implementing a strong corrosion mitigation program.

The program should include corrosion mitigating concepts such as design of items to limit the number of areas where water can pool and dissimilar metals can touch, correct choice and application of coating systems and ongoing preventive maintenance. The US Automotive Industry put this concept to the test and was able to lower their corrosion costs by over 50% over a 25 year period!

2019 New Jersey Firemen’s Convention Recap

September 13 through September 14, MILSPRAY exhibited at the 2019 NJ Firemen’s Convention, in Wildwood, NJ. On display we had our Rustproofing Product, Tough Coat Bed Liner, and Tectyl Undercarriage Services. For your viewing pleasure, we have a photo gallery recapping the event.
